Lead Pastor Morris Emory
I was born and raised in Southern California, and after high school, I decided to move to Texas, landing in Lake Jackson. In 2006, I joined Lake Jackson Church of the Nazarene, which is now known as Cornerstone Church. I'm married to Kristy Emory, and together we have seven children, two sons-in-law, and two grandsons. I began serving in children's ministry in 2015, and by 2020, I accepted the call to pastoral ministry. I have proudly served on the church leadership team at Cornerstone Church as both the Youth Pastor and Executive Pastor. Shortly after answering the call to ministry, the Lord impressed upon my heart the need to serve the community of Iowa Colony. I am excited to be on the journey of planting True Life Community Church in this area, and I look forward to working alongside you to serve our community.
Evangelism and Outreach Patrick McGowan
Patrick McGowan, lovingly known as Pastor Patty G, has answered the call to preach for nearly 20 years — starting with a church in his own garage as a boy. He has developed student programs and coached students nationally while staying rooted in his local mission to Brazoria and Galveston counties, serving as a chaplain in Friendswood, Pearland, and Alvin ISD — with Iowa Colony High School as his home base — and yes, he still drives a school bus. As True Life’s Evangelism and Outreach Pastor he is called to equip the saints of every age — the big Church — with one simple message: God just wants your heart. Wherever life finds you, he’d love to help you discover that at True Life Community Church.

Next Gen Kory Lowery
Texas-born and raised, I joined Cornerstone Church in 2022. Early in my relationship with Christ, I felt my call to ministry and began building relationships with others in the community by hosting Bible studies. I have always felt called to help guide the new generation towards a life led by Jesus. Now, as part of the church leadership team at True Life Community Church, I am pursuing my call to work for the Lord by leading youth and young adult ministries, including engaging in children's ministry. I strive to live by the words of Acts 20:24 every day.
TLC Kids Amanda Mayfield
I am Amanda, and I currently serve as the Children's Ministry Director at True Life Community Church. I am married to my wonderful husband, Trevor, and we have one son. My passion lies in watching children grow in their faith and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Feeling called to serve in children's ministry since my teenage years, I have been blessed to take on various roles within the church leadership team over the years. I look forward to witnessing what God accomplishes through the children's ministry at True Life Community Church.
